Extras Needed For Scottish Period Drama

Thousands of extras in Scotland are being sought

A casting company is seeking Scottish faces for a 'major TV period drama'.

Mad Dog Casting has supplied extras for TV shows including Broadchurch and Sherlock, and for the Bond film Skyfall. They are looking for hundreds of caucasian men and women between 16 and 80. Males should clean shaven with longish hair and no peircings, females should have natural-coloured hair and no plucked eyebrows. They are holding are holding open castings in Glasgow on 27th - 29th April and street castings in Perth. You must be over the age of 16 and hold a valid passport and national insurance number.

In addition, they are looking for thousands of Scots to appear in films and TV shows. Vikki Scott, head of production, says:

"There's been a boom in the TV and film industry, a few years ago there was a boom in Wales which resulted in Mad Dog setting up offices there. So there's TV and film stuff on the horizon and we're looking for literally thousands of faces in Scotland. 

"People that have got interesting looks, period looks, they tend to get picked more, but we do get such interesting briefs that we do need as many interesting faces as possible."
