Extra Date For Connolly Tour

Scottish comedian Billy Connolly has announced an extra date on his upcoming 'High Horse' tour.

Organisers say they added the bonus show on October 15th at the Usher hall due to unprecedented demand for tickets.

The 71 year old's tour, which has already sold 8000 briefs, is the first since being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and prostate cancer.

A spokesperson for the venue said: "We are maximising the number of staff dealing with bookings by phone and in person.

"We will also be controlling the number of people able to access the website at any one time so that sales can be processed smoothly.

"We would ask all our customers to please be as patient as possible as we get through the volume of booking traffic -  there is understandably an extremely high level of demand for one of Scotland's most popular celebrities."

Tickets Scotland and Ripping Records have also been given ticket allocations for in person sales only.
