Businesses Across Fife Could Lease Eco-Friendly Vehicles

The Levenmouth Community Energy Project scheme is to offer hydrogen and electric dual fuel vehicles to businesses on lease, with the aim of becoming "a global leader in clean energy applications, generated from renewable sources". Electric and Hydrogen dual-fuelled Renault Kangoo vans will make up a fleet of 17 vehicles available for lease from the Levenmouth Community Energy Project. 

The Community Project received £4m funding in March, 2015, under the Scottish Governments Local Energy Challenge Fund. This Government scheme awarded a total of £20m to a variety of projects across Scotland. 

Iain Todd from the Levenmouth Community Energy Project Said;

"We are looking for a mix of companies to take advantage of this scheme, from both the public and private sector, that are looking to improve their green credentials"
