Edinburgh Trams Roll Out

Trams have returned to the streets of Edinburgh for the first time in 50 years.

The project has caused a major headache for politicians, the city council, businesses and members of the public.

Construction delays and contractual disputes put the tram launch back by over three years, while the eventual cost is expected to be in excess of 1-billion pounds.

Tram testing between Edinburgh Airport and York Place has been underway for several months.
