Dunfermline Offer Naming Rights

Dunfermline Athletic could change the name of East End Park to attract more money to the club.

In a statement, board members say a potential sponsors will be offered naming rights, but haven't set a price.

The Pars made a loss of £250,000 last year as they chased promotion out of League One, finishing seventh.

New manager Allan Johnston is releasing 18 players at the end of the month as the club looks to streamline its costs.

The statement reads: "As a community club Dunfermline Athletic has to look to maximise every available opportunity.

"We can work more closely with local businesses, but at the same time provide added value by working together in partnership.

"As a club, DAFC is determined to re-connect with the West Fife community, and it’s encouraging that so many local firms have got involved again with our club since Pars United acquired DAFC.

"We are a club with a rich and proud history, but now with a forward thinking approach. DAFC are pleased to announce that this coming season we are looking to offer for the first time ever, three new innovative sponsorship opportunities."
