Kirkcaldy High Street reopens after repairs to burst water main

Kirkcaldy High Street has reopened after repairs to a burst water main.

About 70 homes were left without water earlier this week after a pipe burst.

That was repaired, but a further issue was then discovered, with Scottish Water warning that the street could be closed into next week as a result.

However the utilities firm has now confirmed all repairs have been completed - with the street reopening on Friday.

A spokesperson said: “A permanent reinstatement will take place in the coming weeks once we have sourced the equivalent paving materials.”
