'Disappointment' about closure of Fife Elite Football Academy

The head of the Fife Elite Football Academy has expressed his disappointment about its closure.

After seven years, the academy shuts today.

Bill Hendry says that all staff are thankful for the support since 2014.

Nearly 50 players have come through the academy's ranks.

All Fife Elite players will have the chance to continue playing within the SFA Club Academy Scotland games programme with Dunfermline Athletic.

John Hughes, the Pars boss, has paid tribute to all those involved with the academy and hailed people dedicating their time to football to support young players as "heroes".
