Dementia Friends Scheme Now In Scotland

Alzheimer Scotland is looking for people to become Scottish Dementia Friends.

A similar scheme has already been very successful south of the border, and training is now available here with

organisers encouraging people to become members, with training available both locally and online.

Those taking part will learn about what they can do to help people with the condition, from helping someone find the right bus or being patient in a till queue if they're taking longer to pay.

Alzheimer's Scotland PR Manager Kirsty Yanik believes the campaign can be just as successful here as it has been in England.

"Alzheimer Scotland are delighted to announce that the Dementia Friends scheme, which has been so successful in England, is now available north of the border. It only takes a few minutes to sign up online at www.DementiaFriendsScotland.org"
