Police will be seizing illegal bikes and quads 'for destruction'

Police are cracking down on the illegal use of motorcycles and quad bikes in Kirkcaldy.

Operation Fireblade has been launched in response to a growing number of complaints from residents about anti social behaviour involving the vehicles being driven both on and off the road.

There will be an increase in high visibility patrols in the area and officers will seize these vehicles from people found to be driving them illegally.

PC Steven Black said:

"This is a warning to all those responsible for this kind of reckless behaviour that we will not hesitate to seize your bike for destruction if you are found to be riding it illegally.

“We will continue to target perpetrators of this behaviour and would like to thank the public for their assistance so far.”
