Covid-19: step towards normality as restrictions ease across Fife

Fife is taking its biggest step out of lockdown so far this year as Covid-19 restrictions ease across the Kingdom today.

Restaurants and cafes, beer gardens, non-essential shops and gyms can all welcome customers for the first time since Christmas.

Alcohol cannot be served indoors, but is allowed outside.

Leisure centres and attractions such as galleries and museums can also reopen, along with tourist accommodation.

Funerals and weddings can take place with up to 50 people in attendance, non-essential childcare is permitted again, people can have non-essential work carried out in their homes, and driving lessons can resume.

Ian Harris is a driving instructor based in Ladybank and is delighted to get back to work:
