Countdown To TV Election Debate

Nicola Sturgeon, Jim Murphy, Willie Rennie & Ruth Davidson

Scotland's four main party leaders are limbering up to go head-to-head in another televised debate tonight.

Scottish Labour leader Jim Murphy, SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon, Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson and Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie will clash during the STV debate. 

It will be moderated by political editor Bernard Ponsonby and will be broadcast live from Edinburgh's Assembly Rooms between 8pm and 10pm.

Before taking to their podiums, campaigning in the general election continues.

The Liberal Democrats are focusing on their achievements in government, such as cutting tax for low-paid workers.

David Cameron visited Edinburgh earlier as part of his tour of the UK, while the SNP say tackling child poverty is a top priority for them.

Labour's pledging to invest in 18 and 19 year old's who do not wish to go to university or pursue an apprenticeship.
