Council "Rush" Prompts Childcare Register Plea

Parents in the Kingdom are being urged not to miss out as the council faces a rush to introduce extra free childcare for work-less families.

It's after the Scottish government introduced 600 hours of subsidised re-schoold education for youngsters, that come into effect from October.

As the new rules were brought in 7 months ago, councils don't have access to exactly which families are eligible.

Education spokesman Bryan Poole says if parents come forward, they'll be catered for:
