Fife Council's Budget Consultation has been dismissed as "nonsensically simplistic".
The exercise is designed to allow the Fife public have their say on how the budget is allocated and includes an online questionnaire.
However, Tory Councillor Dave Dempsey suggests the whole exercise costs time, effort and money without much chance for meaningful answers:
