'Clare's Law' pilot starts in Scotland

A Scottish version of Clare's Law is being piloted in two parts of the country from today.

Aberdeen and Ayrshire police areas are the trial sites, where women and men can access information on the offending history of their new partner.

The disclosure scheme was introduced in England and Wales earlier this year following Clare Wood's murder by her ex-boyfriend in Salford.

New Justice Secretary, Michael Matheson, tells us the Scottish Government was waiting to see the outcomes of those pilots:
