City Link Probe

There are calls for a House of Commons investigation into the collapse of City Link.

More than 2, 000 workers, including those in Glenrothes, lost their jobs last month when the firm went into administration.

Margaret Curran MP has written to the Chair of the Scottish Affairs Committee calling for an investigation.

She says no stone should be left unturned.

Ms Curran said: "My first priority is to make sure the workers who have been made redundant get the support they need. They have faced awful treatment, they found out that the company was in trouble on Christmas Eve, and they were made redundant on Hogmanay.

"We need to get to the bottom of exactly what happened at City Link. No stone should be left unturned. That is why I have written to the Chair of the Scottish Affairs Committee asking for a full investigation and why I have asked members of the Committee to visit my constituency next week to speak with the workers and trade unions."
