CCTV Appeal Over Dunfermline Assault

Police have issued CCTV footage of a man they want to trace following an assault in Dunfermline earlier this year.

A 36 year old man suffered a facial injury at around 11.30pm on Thursday 30th October in Pilmuir Street.

Officers believe the man, pictured in these images, can assist with their ongoing enquiry and anyone who can assist in identifying him is being asked to come forward.

Police describe him as white, aged in the mid-twenties with a muscular build, short dark hair that is closely shaved at the sides and heavy facial hair.

He was wearing a light-coloured short-sleeved t-shirt, dark jeans and had visible tattoos on his arms.

Sergeant Neil McGurk said oficers have been pursuing "various lines of local enquiry" to trace the suspect.

He said: “The man in this CCTV footage is of interest to our investigation and anyone who believes they may know who he is should contact police immediately.

"Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively, the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
