Caution Urged Over Dalgety Bay Report

Residents are being told there's still a long way to go before Dalgety Bay's beach will be safe for the public.

A public meeting will be held on 21 July so that locals can hear what the next steps are for the remediation work.

The Ministry of Defence has accepted responsibility for the radiation, which came from radium paint used on WWII aircraft dumped at the former Donibristle Airfield.

The £10million works are expected to be paid by the MoD, with Fife Council 'happy' to monitor the site thereafter.
