Cancer patients 'lonely and housebound'

Over 4000 people with cancer in Fife are lonely - with some skipping meals and unable to afford food.

A Macmillan Cancer Support survey finds one in five suffered loneliness after their diagnosis. It also discovered that many are left housebound, causing isolation and knock on problems - such as a poor diet. Meanwhile, a new service has been launched for for terminally-ill cancer patients in the Kingdom. The £1 million pilot will run for two years and will deliver tailored care and support at home for patients and their families. And for the first time in Scotland Marie Curie is looking for Fifers to volunteer to deliver part of the service. Diana Hekerem from the charity, says they're working in partnership with NHS Fife:
