LISTEN: Cancer charity carries out its support over the phone to patients in Fife

Macmillan in Fife is reaching out to cancer patients by phone during the pandemic.

Face to face support is not taking place at the moment, due to the coronavirus situation.

But the charity is urging people with cancer to reach out to them for support.

The Fife Macmillan Improving the Cancer Journey service, otherwise known as the ICJ, has been changing its service to support people virtually.

It run five days a week, Monday to Friday, with services being provided online, as well as by telephone.

Sharon Breeze, who is a local area co-ordinator with the charity, is telling Kingdom FM News regular contact is being made with those who rely on their support during the pandemic.

Anyone who is interested in seeking the charity's support through this service can call 01592 578076 or send an e-mail on improving.cancerjourney@fife.gov.uk
