Campaigners Welcome Tanshall Decision

The Scottish Government announces it's to scrutinise Fife Council's decision to close Tanshall Primary in Glenrothes.

A decision by MSPs to scrutinise the closure of Tanshall Primary in Glenrothes could pave the way for other schools to follow.

Last night, Kingdom FM News told you how the Scottish Government plans to review Fife Council's decision.

In February, Councillors voted in favour of shutting five primary schools as part of budget savings.

Parents accused the local authority of failing to carry out the consultation process properly, something Councillors deny.

Euan Howells is from Community Help At Tanshall.

He believes MSPs will vote in favour of retaining the school.
