Calls Mount For Labour Change Of Policy

The SNP's claiming Labour is in crisis after weekend calls for a change of policy from two sources - one the former First Minister Henry McLeish.

And another senior party figure - Shadow Scottish Secretary Margaret Curran - says the party should ditch the legacy of Tony Blair.

Margaret Curran's comments came in newspaper article as her party prepares to visit tradional Labour strongholds that voted Yes in the referendum.

She says it must return to its socialist principles to win power next May.

Mr McLeish added his voice to growing criticism of Johann Lamont, claiming Labour voters don't know what the party stands for and it has lost enormous ground to the SNP.

Adding to the leader's woes a group of Labour activists - supported by Dunfermline MSP Cara Hilton - called for a more radical approach to devolution.

Labour for Scotland says it aims to stimulate debate within the party's grass roots.
