This year's Burntisland Fair has been cancelled, because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The decision has been taken in line with current government advice during the pandemic.
Fife Council and members of the Scottish section of the Showmen's Guild, who attend the event, have agreed on the move.
The fair normally runs for three months during the summer each year.
The local authority appreciate the decision will disappoint many, but it stresses the safety and wellbeing of local communities is the top priority.
