Building Relations In Leuchars

A graffiti seminar will be among the activities on offer

Young people in Leuchars are being brought together by the police, army and council in a bid to improve relations between local youths and public bodies.

They're being encouraged to discuss issues affecting them and work together to provide solutions.

Constable Susie Martin of the Tay Bridgehead Community Ward said: "This is a great opportunity for young people to come together and get to know each other, they can find out what is available to them through local partners including Police Scotland, Fife Council and The British Army.

"We are keen to help build good relations between the Army and the local community and hopefully this will be a step in that direction. I'm also hoping the workshops will support the youths in making the right choices, give them activities that interest them and encourage them to take care of their town."

The two-day event, taking place on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August at Leuchars Community Centre, will feature a number of activity based workshops including a graffiti seminar, skate jam and DJing session.
