Brown pledge on abducted schoolgirls

Nigerian Islamist militants have threatened to 'sell into slavery' hundreds of schoolgirls they abducted three weeks ago.

Boko Haram - which is against the education of women - admitted for the first time in a video that it had kidnapped the girls. Around 230 are believed to be missing - and former PM Gordon Brown is vowing to try to help them. In his role as UN Special Envoy on Global Education - he'll be visiting Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, this week. The Kirkcaly and Cowdenbeath MP tells us it's a story that's made an impact across the globe:
