Break-In Arrests

Two men have been arrested following a spate of break-ins in the Glenrothes area.

The incidents, involving homes and cars, happened over a two week period between March 23rd and April 6th.

Police have confirmed two men have been charged with a total of 15 crimes.

A 38 year old appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court earlier, whilst a 19-year old will appear at a later date.

Inspector Derek Paxton said:  “These arrests followed extensive enquiries in which information provided by the public helped significantly and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their assistance. 

“I would also ask the public to remain vigilant and not to hesitate to report any suspicious persons or vehicles in their area.  Several of the properties targeted in these recent crimes were unfortunately insecure.

“I would ask that everyone ensures their property is secure when going out or going to bed for the night.”
