Biker Killed In Fife Collision

A 66 year old man's been killed after a motorbike and a white van collided near Dunfermline.

A 66 year old biker has died following a two vehicle road traffic collision in Fife on Thursday morning. 

Emergency services responded to the A985 west of the Limekilns junction at around 11:40am.

A white Citroen van and red motorcycle were involved and the road was closed at McKane Park, Dunfermline, for several hours while collision investigations took place.

The man was the driver of the motorcycle and had been carrying a female passenger who was also injured. She was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where she remains in a serious condition.

The road reopened to traffic shortly after 4pm and officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw a white Citroen van or a red motorcycle in the area this morning.
