Better Support For Disabled Children

A new build school in Burntisland will offer better access for disabled youngsters.

Disabled children in Burntisland will soon find it easier to move around at school.

Work to complete a brand new primary in the town is complete.

The building will open its doors to pupils next month.

Cllr. Bryan Poole said:

"The children have been watching their new school grow from the very first turf cutting right through to completion and the look on their faces as they walk through these doors for the first time will be priceless.

"The new primary school for Burntisland is the fourth school completed under Fife Council's more than £200m Building Fife's Future programme. The project at Toll Park gives the children of Burntisland a school which is fit for 21st century education. The new, state-of-the art accommodation means they can expand upon the excellent learning and teaching which already existed at Burntisland. They can learn and grow without the constraints of an old, cramped and inadequate building.

"I'm delighted to accept the keys to this exceptional building and I for one can’t wait for the end of the school holidays."
