Awards Boost For Charity

The charity Maggie's is to benefit from this year's Fife Business Awards dinner.

Applications are now closed and the judges are in the process of deciding the winners.

The dinner takes place on March 19th at the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes - and Maggie's will receive the funds raised.

Centre Fundraiser Tumong Edwards commented: "I would like to thank Fife Chamber and Fife Economy Partnership for selecting Maggie's as the beneficiary of the awards dinner.  I have been amazed how diverse the Fife business community is, no matter how big or small the business many have been so generous meaning that Maggie's Fife can continue to provide free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their loved ones."

Host for the evening Fred MacAulay said: "Fife Business Awards always highlight the great successes in the region. Competition is always tough, but thankfully for me as host, the audience isn't!"

Stephen Doran, Chair of the Fife Economy Partnership, the principal sponsors of the Awards said: "We have been overwhelmed by the response to the awards with a record number of entries from business across the region.  The judges have a tough task ahead of them and we will be announcing the finalists of each category very soon."

Fife Chamber President John Silcock added: "The Awards have grown significantly and I would like to thank all the business who took the time to enter and our sponsors for their continued support.  The Business Awards provide a great opportunity to celebrate the success of local businesses, and I’m sure the Awards Dinner on 19th March will be a fantastic night!"
