Councillors have approved a new care unit for the elderly in the Glenrothes area.
Councillors have approved plans for a large care village in Glenrothes.
A 60 bed care home and another 30 properties will be built at the site of the old Glenwood Centre and South Parks House.
Council officers had advised the approval of the project, with the Glenrothes area said to be one that is in need of more care facilities for the elderly.
