Appeal For Witnesses After Dysart Crash

The crash happened at around 12.50am on Friday morning

Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Dysart yesterday.

16 year old Brian Phimister died in the accident, the 18 year old as-yet unnamed driver sustained serious injuries. A BMW 3 Series hit a tree in the early hours of Friday morning on the A955 between Dysart and Wemyss. 

Inspector Brenda Sinclair said: “This was a serious road traffic collision in which a 16-year-old lost his life and my sincere condolences go to Brian’s friends and family.

"Our officers are currently pursuing various lines of enquiry to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision and I’d urge anyone who can help with our investigation to come forward."
