David Marshall was last seen leaving the Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy

Police in Fife are seeking the assistance of the public in an effort to trace a man who has gone missing in Kirkcaldy.

David Marshall was last seen leaving the town’s Victoria Hospital at around 11:45am on Saturday morning. The 68-year-old, who lives in Rosyth, may appear confused and anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to get in touch.

He is described as white, around 6ft tall with a slim build and grey hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a small "Air Defence" motif on the left hand side, blue jeans and black shoes.

Sergeant Alan Stewart, who is based in Kirkcaldy, said: “David is not familiar with Kirkcaldy and we are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“I would ask anyone who has seen him or who can provide information as to his whereabouts to please get in touch on the 101 number or speak to any officer.”
