A&E Petition Exceeds 13, 5000

Calls to restore A&E services at the Queen Margaret Hospital are intensifying.

A petition to move A&E services back to the Queen Margaret Hospital has racked up more than 13, 500 signatures.

All emergency services were moved to the Victoria in Kirkcaldy in 2012.

Campaigners claim lives could be put at risk due to the extra miles patients across west Fife have to travel.

NHS Fife says patient care and safety is paramount and insists that the move of A&E services has expanded the availability of senior medical cover on one site.

Jim Philp is behind the campaign.
