A man who murdered his girlfriend and buried her body in a park has been jailed.
John Davis, who's 26, killed Hazel North from Dunfermline at his flat in Kilmarnock in March.
Hazel's body was only found after Davis confessed that he'd buried the 19 year old's remains.
It's understood she may have lay dying for up to 18 hours.
He eventually took officers to the spot in Dean Park in Kilmarnock, telling officers that he was prepared to "face the music" for what he'd done.
The judge at the High Court in Glasgow today sentenced Davis to serve a minimum of twenty years behind bars.
