Ryan, Benjamin, and Kian Rafferty
Three Fife boys who lost their possessions in a house fire have been treated to a Christmas shopping trip thanks to Kingdom Kids. Ryan, Benjamin, and Kian Rafferty were living in temporary accommodation following an explosion at their Lochore home in September 2014. The Rafferty family were out when the explosion happened; however most of their possessions were destroyed.
In December 2014, Kingdom FM’s children’s charity, Kingdom Kids, surprised Ryan, Benjamin and Kian outside Benarty Primary School. The twins, who are seven years old, and five year old Kian were taken on a magical mystery tour before arriving at Toys R Us in Kirkcaldy for a shopping spree. Their personal shopper, Vicki Lister, gave the boys a trolley each to help them during their hunt for a selection of toys and games.
They were greeted by the Kingdom FM mascot, ‘The Kingdom Kid’; the Toys R Us giraffe, ‘Geoffrey’; and even Santa Claus. Check out the below Video to see how the Shopping Spree went:
