Svavar Knutur is an Icelandic singer / songwriter from Skagafjörður a fjord in the north of the country. He fell in love with the Guitar aged 14 and taught himself to play making his hunger for music grow.

Now based in Reykjavik, he is a multi-instrumentalist (Guitar, Ukulele, Accordion, Piano and others!) who draws on indie pop, folk and rock influences. Well known and acclaimed in Iceland, he has toured extensively around Europe, as well as in America and Australia.

Performing in both English and Icelandic, Svavar is an accomplished storyteller, taking his audiences on a journey through love, redemption, nature and life with all its tragedy and comedy.

His musical talents are used in a different capacity as a curator and one of the founding members of the Melodica Festival. The festival celebrates local music scenes around the world, with the aim of providing an invaluable platform for emerging artists to network and develop new creative relationships.

In January 2019, Svavar released his 7th album titled “Ahoy! Side A” (the first part of a double album) to rave reviews and this will be his first trip to Scotland.

You can bring your own bottle, glasses will be provided.
This is a ticketed event, booking is essential.
