Over the last 500 years, military cartography has expanded in terms of both invasion and defence.
Chris Fleet from the National Library of Scotland, shows us how maps for military use have developed and some of the examples include ; fortification planning, battle plans,reconnaissance mapping, military roads and even sea mine distribution.
