Preserving Your Harvest – Natural Storing Techniques

In this season of abundance we will learn about the ways you can preserve your herbs, fruit and other edibles so they last in to the winter months.

We will talk about the different ways to store your crops including drying, fermenting and making infused oils and vinegars. Advice on which method works best for the various plants, herbs and produce will also be discussed.

We’ll try out some techniques and ensure you feel inspired to go home and experiment.

During the workshop we will harvest some herbs from our garden to make a delicious herbal tea that you can taste and then try out at home. The tutor for the class will be Simone Melanie from Solar Ripe Remedies.

There will be a mix of theory and practical hands-on activities, including walking around the garden. No experience necessary. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and walking footwear.

There is disabled parking on site and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
