Meat Free Mondays – Kangus’s souper summer salad sesh
Monday, June 24th
Meat Free Monday encourages people to skip meat for at least one day a week to improve their health and help the planet. We’ll be running regular workshops for curious cooks interested in exploring how to switch from meat and poultry in their diet to plant-based ingredients more often. We’re kicking off in June with two workshops delivered by Kirsty and Tony Strachan from Kangus Coffee House in Kirkcaldy.
Kangus is a Veggie/Vegan cafe that has a down-to-earth, anyone can do it attitude mainly borne from the fact that Kirsty and Tony are passionate about serving tasty vegan food they and have been running Kangus for a year.
They will take you through one of Kangus’s most popular summer soups along with a few fantastic salads. The course is hands-on and all food prepared at the workshop can be easily recreated at home for family or friends to dig into.
No experience is necessary.
– Pesto walnut pasta
– Quinoa Greek salad
– Lemony Spinach and Lentil Soup
