Kirkcaldy Strong Community Walk

From Gallatown Hub to Kirkcaldy Town Centre to Linton Lane on a 5 mile tour of local community groups and charities.

Last September the walk raised £2,289 including a £794 donation from Lights Out By Nine. Groups who took part included Linton Lane Centre, Nourish Support Centre, Greener Kirkcaldy, Pete's Man Chat Movement, VRN - Hospital Radio in Kirkcaldy, Kirkcaldy Foodbank, Fife Centre for Equalities, Ymca Kirkcaldy and Fife Alcohol Support Service.

There is no collective fund with monies raised going straight to the local community or charities. Last year fundraisers were set up by Linton Lane Centre, Nourish Support Centre and Kirkcaldy Foodbank.

Lisa May Young, Founder of Kirkcaldy Strong said “I’m so looking forward to this year’s community walk. Walkers dressed up, cars beeped their horns and stopped go hand us money. It was a celebration of Kirkcaldy’s community spirit and our gratitude to our local community groups and charities who help so many in our town.
