Woodland could be felled to make way for site expansion

Plans to cut down trees to make way for more caravans at a Fife site could be given the go-ahead.

Craigtoun Meadows near St Andrews, wants to add 42 static caravan pitches.

It could result in the felling of woodland, but park bosses say they would plant new trees around the site.

Fife Council planning officials say they are usually against the loss of trees, but are happy about the addition of new ones.

The plans go before councillors on Wednesday.
