Banking group TSB has announced it is to cut its opening hours at two of its Fife branches.
Branches in Cupar and Anstruther will be open for only 6 hours three days a week from the end of July - meaning the branch in St Andrews will be the closest one open all week.
The company is making the changes because it says footfall in the branches is decreasing.
The branch is Cupar will be open only on Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9:30 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 16:30.
Services in Anstruther will be reduced to opening on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 to 12:30 and 13:30 to 16:30.
It is not expected any job losses will happen though.
North East Fife MSP Willie Rennie said: “This is another blow to the residents of North East Fife where changes to opening times and, even more worryingly, bank closures are becoming increasingly frequent.
“TSB’s change of hours comes hot on the heels of news about Santander’s closure. Our highstreets are under a lot of pressure and too many local banks are buckling. This is a really concerning trend.
“Many people like telephone or digital banking but face-to-face services are still essential."
