Police have launched an investigation after a report of a man indecently exposing himself near Tayport Primary School.
The incident took place at around 11am on Wednesday.
Sergeant Matt Spencer, from St Andrews police station, said: "We are carrying out extensive inquiries into this incident and are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
"We have also increased our police patrols in the local area and will continue to engage with the local community."
Anyone who may have information or saw anything suspicious can contact police on 101, quoting incident 0805 of September 17.
