NHS Fife involved in UK wide project to find treatments for coronavirus

NHS Fife has been involved in a project taking place across the UK to find potential new treatments for coronavirus.

The health board have been involved in the RECOVERY Trial.

So far, the most significant breakthrough is finding steroid dexamethasone can reduce the number of patients dying from Covid-19.

Dr Devesh Dhasmana is the trial's principal investigator in the Kingdom.
