Man makes no plea in court over attempted murder in Methil

A 44-year-old man made no plea at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today after being charged over an attempted murder, which is alleged to have taken place in Methil on Monday.

Kenneth Sparling, who's general address was just Fife, also faced charges of committing assault to severe injury and causing permanent disfigurement and danger of life.

There was also a separate charge under the Firearms Act.

Sparling has been released on bail.

The case has been committed for further examination and his next appearance in court is yet to be confirmed.
