Man arrested over alleged robbery at bank

Police have arrested a man after an alleged robbery at a Dunfermline bank.

The incident happened just after 9am today at the Bank of Scotland on Bothwell Street.

Staff were allegedly threatened with a meat cleaver before a four-figure sum was stolen.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police say a 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and inquiries are ongoing.
