Man arrested after pedestrian hit by van in Cardenden

A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was hit by a van in Cardenden last night.

A 43-year-old man is in a critical condition at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, after the incident on Station Road at 8.10pm

A white Ford Transit panel van was involved - it was found a short time later on Blyth Gardens in Kirkcaldy.

A 41-year-old man has been held over the incident.

Sergeant Nicola Young, of the Fife Road Policing Unit, said: "We are working to establish the full circumstances of this crash and would urge anyone who may have seen a white van just before the collision or afterwards to get in touch.

"If you have dash-cam footage which could help with our enquiries then please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3318 of 28 November."
