Man, 67, dies after boat capsizes off Fife coast

A man has died after a boat capsized in the Forth near North Queensferry.

Emergency services were called to the scene yesterday afternoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a capsized boat off North Queensferry shortly after 4.35pm yesterday (Tuesday June 1).

"Emergency services, including police HM Coastguard, the RNLI and the Scottish Ambulance Service attended and two people were taken ashore at Hawes Pier, South Queensferry.

"A 67-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 61-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
