Man, 61, dies after road crash in Fife

A man has died after a crash on a Fife road.

Frank MacFarlane, 61, from Rosyth was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after the collision on Friday morning, but died yesterday.

His blue BMW 3 Series left the A985 between Cairneyhill roundabout and Kincardine at around 5.35am, and struck a wall.

Sergeant Alastair Purvis, of Fife road policing, said: "Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr MacFarlane at this difficult time.

"Inquiries into the incident are ongoing. We would urge anybody who was driving on the road and may have dashcam footage or witnessed the incident to contact police."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0492 of July 31.
