Kingdom FM News is live backstage at the Local Hero Awards 2015, bringing you all the latest from the winners. The Kingdom FM Local Hero awards celebrates the best of Fife, rewarding talent, enterprise and dedication. 17 trophies are up for grabs tonight.

23.20pm - I don't think we could have ended on a higher high.

Gordon Aikman has campaigned tirelessly for research into a cure for motor neuron disease, after being diagnosed with the condition himself last year. He is the winner of this year's Kingdom FM Award. He couldn't make it here tonight, but his video acceptance speech moved everyone.

23.12pm - Coming to the end of the night - huge well done to Gama Youth, winner of the Mary Leishman award, and to Phil Corletto, who received his award from a suave-looking Kingdom Kid. Rarely seen in a tux!

23.04pm - In other news, Stevie McCrorie - winner of The Voice - just blew the roof of the Rothes Halls.

22.48pm - Hot on their heels is The Sunshine Club, represented by Isabelle and James Bell, winners of the Provost Award.

22.44pm - Team Leo raise money for SANDS, who research the causes of stillbirth and neonatal death. Vicky and Robin Baird: very deserved winners of the Fundraiser of the Year award.

22.35pm - The final part of the show is beginning! A very shellshocked Brian Rioch, a roadsweeper from Auchtermuchty has just picked up the Employee of the Year award.

22.27pm - The guests are being entertained with some beautiful sounding opera. Giving me the chance to pop off for a quick word with tonight's special guest...

10.05 - As promised - Joe Lafferty, winner of the Child of Achievement award, of how he chased down and caught a bag snatcher at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy:

10.01pm - Peter Davies is the marketing manager of Elie Holiday Park. They've just been announced as the Best Visitor Attraction. Hugs all round for a really happy team.

9.55pm - What's the secret to winning the Best School award?

"The children" - so says Victoria Dolatowska, the head teacher of Southwood Primary. Well done!

9.51 - Spike narrowly lost out to Amanda Scott in the Volunteer of the year award. Also passing through has been David Henderson, winner of the Green Initiative, and Willy Kerr, whose street parties have earned him the title of Best Neighbour.

9.44pm - Undoubtably the star of the night - Spike the hearing dog!

9.27pm - Chantelle Leswell, winner of the Student of the Year award, is in America, so mum Fay steps up to accept the award on her behalf.

9.22pm - 3 in a row! Mother and daughter Lorraine and Alicia Wilkinson win the Best Community Initiative award. Here's their gleaming trophy.

9.12pm - Minutes later, Chloe Dickson wins Sports Person of the Year! She represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Fencing Championships.

9.10pm - Just spoke to Joyce Temple, winner of Carer of the year. A very emotional award to win, but she's thrilled.
