Glenrothes man (22) named after court appearance on terror charges

Sam Imrie appeared in private at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court.

A Glenrothes man has appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court charged with terrorism offences.

Sam Imrie (22) made no plea when he appeared privately earlier (July 8). 

His case will be continued for further examination while Imrie remains in custody. He is due to appear in court again within the next eight days.

Detective chief superintendent Phil Chapman said there was nothing to suggest any further threat to the community, after police arrested Imrie in the early hours of Saturday July 6.
